Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 01/08/2015

Receipts: 6,100 

Demand good. The supply consisted of 96 percent feeder cattle with the 
balance being replacement stock. Of the feeder supply 58 percent were steers, 42 
percent heifers. About 49 percent of the feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs. In 
the feeder supply about 100 percent were in the Western region, 0 percent North 
Central region, and 0 percent from the South Central region. All sales FOB with 
a 2-4 percent shrink or equivalent and the majority with a 4-10 cent slide on 
calves and 3-6 cent slide on yearlings from base weight. Deliveries current 
through April 2015. The next sale will be January 29, 2015.
